About KKO

Kate McDowell (KKO) is an artist from Portland, USA working in Seoul, South Korea. Born in Saga, Japan in 1994; the artist tackles the idea of "native country". In addition, themes of horror. Animals are often used because they're more universal than people. Among these images are the dead and bloodied; acts of self-harm. The artist and the viewer share in that is self-harm. Further, photographs delve into the homeland or lack thereof. Nobody's home.
